Four Injured in Medical Helicopter Crash Near Philadelphia
The helicopter was carrying four people, including an infant, to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia when it crashed in a residential neighborhood. All of the passengers aboard avoided life-threatening injuries.
“Officers and Fire Department responded to the area and they located this helicopter behind us, which had crashed here behind the building. What we know is there’s four members on the helicopter. Three of them were a crew and pilot. One was an infant. They were en route to C.H.O.P., Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Injuries were non-life threatening.” Reporter: “I see. OK. Wow.” “Yes, exactly. It’s a miracle. It’s an absolute miracle here. What you see behind you, how this — and there’s no debris, no wires down, no trees, how that pilot was able to get that plane there. And all four of them were able to get themselves out of the helicopter with assistance from the police and the Fire Department when we responded.”
