Anita Badejo

Anita Badejo is a senior editor for audio at the New York Times, based in London. She joined The Times in 2021 to focus narrative and enterprise audio stories and projects. Previously, she was the executive editor and co-host of Pop-Up Magazine in San Francisco, where she produced and edited stories in the mediums of audio, film, photography and writing and hosted shows at venues across North America, including Lincoln Center in New York, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Curran Theatre in San Francisco and the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. She led Pop-Up Magazine through a shift from live to digital storytelling during the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in its first finalist entry for the National Magazine Awards.
