An article on Jan. 16 about tennis player Ben Shelton’s path to the Australian Open erroneously attributed a distinction to Shelton. He is the first N.C.A.A. men’s singles champion to break into the top 100 on the pro tour in the same season since Tim Mayotte in 1981, not the first player to do so since Mayotte while still the reigning N.C.A.A. men’s singles champion.

An obituary on Friday about the singer, songwriter and guitarist David Crosby misidentified one of the two groups in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame of which he was a member. It is Crosby, Stills & Nash, not Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. (Although Neil Young later joined the group, it was only the original three-person lineup that was inducted.)

Errors are corrected during the press run whenever possible, so some errors noted here may not have appeared in all editions.
